Outlet product planning (sales of products that have exceeded their expiration date)

On our EC site, we handle products that have exceeded the expiration date as “outlet product planning”.

“Expiration date” is the date that indicates the date when it is recognized that it is possible to sufficiently maintain all the expected quality when stored in a prescribed manner. However, these qualities may still be maintained even if the deadline has passed. For this reason, even if a food item has passed its “best before” date, it does not necessarily mean that it cannot be eaten immediately, so it is necessary for consumers to individually judge whether each food item is edible.

In addition, this initiative is being implemented from the perspective of “food loss”, and all products have passed 18 months of durability tests (microbial, physical and chemical, and sensory tests). Until now, the company’s regulations were “12-month notation”, but since the latter half of last year, it has been revised to “18-month notation”, and as a result, 18-month notation products are mixed.

We would like to ask for your understanding that we are selling to customers who understand this purpose, and we will strive to be safe, so thank you for your understanding.
